beers and ciders at our brewery in Nelson, New
Zealand. Our award-winning beers are 100%
natural, brewed with no artificial additives and
unpasteurised to retain maximum craft beer
flavour.

Our Taverns are located across New Zealand, and make exceptional craft beer and a community spirited hospitality experience accessible to everyone.

Our Tavern’s proudly serve the entire range of Sprig + Fern Brewing Co’s multiple award-winning craft beers and ciders in proper imperial pints, but that’s not the only thing that makes our Taverns a bit different.

We have no TVs, pokie machines or pool tables in our taverns, so you can enjoy good old conversation and human interaction, along with classic pub snacks and food.

 

There are seven Tavern’s located in Nelson, (an eighth currently being fit out), five in Wellington and one in Merivale.

Our Taverns are all comfortable, clean, uncluttered, yet cosy.

We’re small and personal, and encourage responsible drinking, whilst having a great time with friends and family.

Each of our Taverns is independently owned and operated by people who live in the community that they serve.

Sprig + Fern Brewing Co. Taverns are at the heart of their local community. We keep the local community at heart.

We raise significant funds for local charities and good causes, and help preserve our heritage by restoring older, character buildings to house our Taverns.

Our Taverns offer a ‘home away from home’.

Tracy Banner

Chances are if you’ve heard of Sprig + Fern Brewing Co., you’ve heard of its owner and Master Brewer, Tracy Banner.

Tracy has amassed more than 38 years’ experience in the brewing industry, and has played a very significant role in the birth and rise of craft beer in New Zealand.

Tracy and her husband Ken own Sprig + Fern Brewing Co.

The Brewing Team

Collectively the brewing team has nearly sixty years brewing experience with all brewers having had life experiences in other breweries around the world. Tracy is ably assisted in the Brewing Team senior Callum,Alex and trainee Briar.
